TMD: I Had to Pee
Two Minute Drill: I Had to Pee
What’s up Kaizenovators, happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill! Today I am coming to you from the beautiful mountains in Deer Valley, Utah where I had a moment where I was actually alone on the slope and I had to pee. Today’s topic of conversation is testing the water.
Testing the Water
So, I have to pee and I thought maybe I can just go where those trees are and I’ll be fine. Nobody will see me. I can just do my business. It’s nature, you know, no big deal. Well, I took a step into that snow and what do you think happened? I sunk! I sunk pretty deep and I took another step and I sunk deeper and I said, holy S***, I’m in quick snow (like quicksand you know but snow). I quickly figured out a way to get out and realize that maybe I should have tested the water first with my pole.
You know, we do this in business, right? Like, as we build the next version of our app, we’re constantly testing with users, getting feedback; with our chiropractic offices, doing surveys to see how we can serve our patients better; with our team, to see how we can serve them better. We’re constantly researching and testing the waters.
So, next time I decide that I’m going to avoid the bathrooms in the lodges and, you know, pee outside in the great outdoors, maybe where nobody’s going to see me in those trees, I’m going to test the waters. I’m going to use my poll. I’m going to see how deep the snow is. I’m going to make sure that I don’t sink into mountain oblivion.
So, I encourage you, whether it’s your personal life or your professional life, to do small little tiny bets that test the waters to make sure that you’re moving in the right direction. So, that’s it from this beautiful mountain here in Deer Valley, Utah. That’s this week’s two-minute drill hope you guys are having a great week.
We have our webinars coming up this upcoming week, so I’m super excited about it. It is all about, mission, vision, and defining your brand. Make sure you save your seat.
I’m going to try not to kill myself or sink in any deep snow, and I’ll see y’all later in the week.
Your questions and feedback are always welcome and appreciated!
