TMD: Leg Day Inspiration
Two Minute Drill: Leg Day Inspiration
What’s up Kaizenovators, happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill. I am coming to you from South Beach, Florida. I’m at a conference called UCAM Mastermind (The Ultimate Caribbean Adventure Mastermind). It’s all about digital marketing, achieving branding and marketing success, and growth in your practices. One of the speakers Phil Heath inspired today’s topic of conversation about motivation.
Motivation and Inspiration
The UCAM is put on by Dr. Matt Loop and Dr. Mike Reid, they’ve done a phenomenal job. One of the speakers they had at this event was seven-time Olympian, Phil Heath. He was incredibly inspirational. He talked about the fact that once he won his first Mr. Olympia contest, he knew that everybody else was coming after him.
He had to stay inspired, he had to stay motivated to do the things that sometimes he just didn’t feel like doing. It’s leg day, he didn’t necessarily want to do his legs that day. He might not have even wanted to go to the gym but he knew and he said, “this is where I create distance.” So, this is where he does the things that he doesn’t necessarily want to do. But he knows he’s got to do it, he does it, he finds inspiration and the idea that doing this work will help him win and it was all about winning.
I know that we all have things in our lives that we don’t necessarily want to do. Especially when it comes to some of our work stuff, right? Like we don’t necessarily want to do some things that are mundane or not fun.
Even me, I do legs. I swear I do! You can’t tell, but talk to my personal trainer, he’ll tell you I do legs. I don’t always want to do it, but I know I have to. But I find inspiration because I actually want to be stronger and I want to have a good balance.
Whether it’s your personal life or whether it’s the things that you’re doing at work, find the inspiration, find the motivation to do the things that you don’t want to do but you have to do to create the ultimate level of success for your professional life and your personal life.
So that’s today’s Two Minute Drill. I’m going to have some fun on this boat! It’s going to be a great time!
I’ll see you all next week.
