Two Minute Drill:The Importance of Gratitude in Professional Relationship

What’s up Kaizenovators, Happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill. Today, I’m coming to you from Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. It’s my last day here, and I’m getting ready to head to Florida for the Florida Chiropractic Association meeting in Naples. I’ll be leaving in just a couple of hours, and it’s been a wonderful experience. This place is amazing, and being that it’s the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I thought gratitude would be a fitting theme for today.

A Thanksgiving Message

We often express gratitude for our family, friends, and colleagues, which is incredibly important. However, sometimes, at least for me, I forget to extend that gratitude to our vendors.

These are the people who help us run our businesses, the ones who send us bills and invoices at the end of the month or project. We sometimes overlook these individuals because we’re their customers, and we might forget to thank them.

I had a great meeting with NickelBronx, a company that is assisting us with our branding for 2.0, our next product. They did a fantastic job, and I sent them a quick email to express my appreciation for their efforts on this crucial project for us. This made me think about other people I need to thank.

If you are one of our vendors and are watching this, know that I love and appreciate you so much.

I am thankful to have you as part of this journey in my business and professional life.

So, this week, before Thanksgiving, if you have a special vendor or a great vendor relationship, make sure to reach out and thank them. They help us run our lives and our businesses, and they play a significant role in helping us achieve our goals.

Thank you all so much. Have a great, healthy, happy Thanksgiving.

Enjoy your holiday, and I’ll talk to you all next week.

Two Minute Drill: Gratitude & Charity

What’s up Kaizenovators, happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill. I’ve been having several conversations with loved ones and friends and family members about gratitude this past week. I even had experiences where I felt a deeper level of gratitude. This brings today’s topic of conversation, gratitude and charity.

Lend a Helping Hand

I had those deeper levels of gratitude when I saw people who were less fortunate than me, the guy on the street who was hungry and thirsty and needed some food and some water. Someone at the stoplight who held a sign and was not intrusive and needed a couple of bucks. Helping that man who was hungry and thirsty and helping that guy who needed maybe just a couple of bucks to get his next meal as well I felt a deeper level of gratitude.

I wanted to know what was the connection between gratitude and charity and in fact, having more gratitude, exploring gratitude, and having a journal of gratitude actually changes your ventromedial prefrontal cortex, and helps you be more charitable. I don’t know which is first the chicken to the egg, it was really kind of hard for me to discern, but I will tell you this when I see those who are less fortunate than me and I provide some support, some help, it just gives me a deeper level of gratitude.

I encourage you guys to try that. When you see someone who may be less fortunate, lend a helping hand, and see what you can do to help that person. You will help them and I believe you will help yourself at the same time.

So that’s this week’s Two Minute Drill. I hope you guys have a great week and I’ll see y’all next week.
