In this week’s TMD I am in Phoenix, Arizona. I have been here all week at the ChiroCongress Annual Convention. Today’s message doesn’t really have anything to do with this, it has to do with feedback. Watch this week’s TMD hear about some surprising feedback I received and what I realized.
Today, I am coming to you from Phoenix, Arizona. I have been here all week with the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations. We had our national convention here. Also, the Summit and Chiro Tech Consortium groups met this week. It was a very productive and awesome week.
Today’s message is about feedback. This week, I was surprised to receive some feedback about my appearance, my clothes, my hair… and the fact that I don’t take business relationships seriously.
I am a big believer in getting feedback, to be the best version of ourself we need feedback from others. However, at the same time, after suffering from decades of mental health issues worrying about what other people think of me, I got to a point in my life where all of this changed.
What I realized and I want you to realize is that the most important person you need to be authentic to is yourself! Because guess what? Those people that are judging you don’t walk in your shoes. You will be so much happier, so much healthier, when you are the most authentic to yourself. Those who are making judgments are not judging others, they are making a statement about themselves.
Take feedback, learn from it, and at the same time commit to yourself so that you can be the happiest you have ever been.
In This week’s TMD Dr. Jay has a special Guest, his best friend from college, Laurence Fundler. Today he will be sharing with us his own perspective and approach around our God-given body.
As people, we are just spiritual beings. We are housed within our minds and our bodies. Laurence’s perspective is that our true home is right here within our God-given body.
Once you accept that concept, it becomes really easy and almost non-negotiable to take care of your body. Do the things that are going to give you that healthy longevity by exercising both your body and mind, eating proper nutrients, getting good sleep, and enjoying what God has to offer outside, the sun and the air.
Far too many people don’t take care of their bodies and have no idea of the harm that they are causing from all the junk they eat and their lack of exercise. Once the harm is done, the quality of life is gone.
Laurence is talking about playing the health and wellness game at a very high level from the opening kickoff to the last second that ticks off the clock. Every play and every drive matters. If you don’t pay attention to protecting your home, your personal game clock is going to wind down quickly. You’re going to run out of time-outs and it’s going to be too late to make a comeback.
Laurence also suggests not relying on a two-minute drill when it comes to taking care of your home.
