Two Minute Drill: The 4 Q&A’s Approach: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities
What’s up Kaizenovators, Happy Tuesday Two Minute Drill. Today’s topic of conversation is solving big problems. I was just on a Zoom call with my Director of Operations, Cat, as well as the Chief Operating Officer for Genesis Chiropractic Software, Mr. Jason Barnes. Jason is a wise man, and he came up with some great strategies for us as it relates to solving big problems.
The 4 Q&A’s
In their company, one of the strategies they use is called the 4 Q&A’s.
Here are the four questions that you need to ask and answer when it comes to solving big problems in your business:
1- What is the problem? Not just the symptoms of the problem, but what’s the actual problem?
2- Why is the problem difficult to solve?
3- Why is this problem important to us as a business or to specific individuals?
4- What is our current approach to solving the problem, and how can we improve or iterate that approach in order to solve the problem for good?
I’ve never asked these questions specifically in that order when it comes to solving big problems in our businesses.
Now, I’m going to ask these questions, I’m going to try it and see what happens, and I have a feeling it’s going to be very productive and very helpful.
Now, maybe this even applies to our personal lives. I’m not really sure because I just learned about this, but it might be something that you want to try, certainly in your business, maybe even in your personal life.
That’s this week’s Two Minute Drill, you guys.
I hope you guys have a great week, and I will talk to y’all next week.
