Two Minute Drill: How, How, How?
In this week’s TMD I am coming to you from Pensacola Beach, Florida. Since I am taping on New Year’s Day, today’s topic of conversation is about setting 2022 goals.
Clarity Equals Success!
I have to admit that I am not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. I am a big fan of setting written goals.
The way we like to do it at Kaizo and Kaizenovate is to set the goal, the big audacious goal, and break it down into quarterly rocks. So, every 90 days we build towards that goal we want to achieve for the year.
Within those 90-day rocks ask three to five HOWs. For instance, if we want to increase our new patients at Kaizo by 20%, how are we going to do that? The answer may be, I am going to build a sales and marketing strategy. And how are you going to do that? I am going to set up a meeting with my team and ask everybody to bring their best three ideas to build the sales and marketing strategy to increase new patients by 20%.
I just asked HOW a few times but you can drill even deeper. When your team gets together and you set your goals for 2022, make sure that you ask them, they ask themselves, and you ask yourself the three to five HOWs. When you do that, you will get very clear on how you are going to accomplish a goal. Clarity equals success!
